Fancy singing A Capella? Acapella in Motion holds a free A Capella meet and sing North London once a month on the first Tuesday of every month in New Barnet at the Subud centre, 97 East Barnet Road at 7.15 p.m.. We normally run a single song for the hour of the meet and sing. This month we’ll be doing ‘The Boxer’ by Simon and Garfunkel, written by Paul Simon. It’s a beautiful lament with classic harmonies that I’ve loved for years.

What do you need to be able to do to come to one of our meet and sings? You don’t need to be a trained singer or to be able to read music, as the songs will all be taught by ear. For those who prefer sheet music, it will be provided for you. You should have a good sense of timing and rhythm as well as the ability to stick to your part when the person next to you is singing something else. Most of all, you should have a love of singing and music.
