Retro A Capella is an A Capella Choir in Guernsey in the fabulous Channel Islands that sings pure A-Capella Music. We are a very small vocal group specializing in fun Retro Music – anything from Jazz, The Andrew’s Sisters, to DooWop, Rock and Roll and Eighties Classics. We are on the hunt for new members!

Do I need any special skills to sing A-Capella?

A Capella is harder than singing along to a piano ot backing track as you literally make the music yourself. A good sense of pitch and rhythm is essential. It really helps if you have experience singing with other choirs in parts before you come. You don’t have to be able to read sheet music, as we work out the parts by ear and provide them on the website to learn. As we’re small, it is essential that you will need to be able to keep to your own voice part without swapping to the part of the person standing next to you.
